Stephanie A. Booth

Director

The team is led by director Stephen Booth, MA, PGDip, (NHS Tavi) PGCert, BEd, HND, who founded CCATS in 2001. Stephen has more than 20 years’ experience of working in a therapeutic capacity with children, young people and adults.

Professor Jane L. Ireland

Clinical/Research lead

Professor Jane L. Ireland P.hD. is a Forensic Psychologist, Chartered Psychologist, Registered Practitioner, whose professorship is in the area of forensic psychology with particular expertise in risk assessment.

Dr. Carol A Ireland

Clinical Assessment Lead

Dr. Carol A. Ireland, MBA is a Chartered Psychologist, Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Scientist. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and is a registered practitioner with the Health Professions Council.

Dr. Sarah Laulik

Dr Sarah Laulik is a Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist. She is a member of the Forensic Division of the British Psychological Society and is a registered practitioner with the Health & Care Professions Council.

Heather Rice

Heather Rice (BSc Special Psychology and MSc, Accredited, Legal and Forensic Psychology; Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education), is a Forensic Psychologist at CCATS and Forensic Practitioner with the University of Central Lancashire.

Charlotte York

Charlotte York is a Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist; she is Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. She has previously worked for HM Prison Service for four years in both closed and open conditions.

Ioan Ohlsson

Ioan Ohlsson (BSc Psychology & MSc Applied Forensic Psychology) is a Forensic Therapist at CCATS. He is a member of the British Psychological Society and is currently working towards full membership of the society’s Division of Forensic Psychology.

Julie Boardman

Julie Boardman is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist having undertaken her clinical training at the Tavistock Clinic in London. Julie has more than 20 years’ experience working therapeutically with children, young people and families within a variety of settings.

Rebecca Serella

Rebecca Serella (MSc, MBPsS, MBACP) is a Counselling Psychologist in Training and BACP registered Psychological Therapist who has experience working with children and adults presenting with a diverse range of issues.

Julie Trice

Julie Trice RGN, BA (Hons) PGCE (early years) is an ACP Registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. Julie worked with children for many years in a variety of clinical and educational settings firstly as a staff nurse then as a school teacher.

Rachel Turner

Rachel Turner (BA Applied Counselling in Organisations) is a UKRCP Registered Accredited Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist (BACP). She has 12 years’ experience working as a Psychological Therapist with adults, children and young people.

Leanne Douglas

Leanne Douglas (BSc (Hons) Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology) is an Assistant Psychologist. Her role is to assist the Chartered Psychologists in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic treatment programmes.

Sam Keeley

Sam Keeley (BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology) is an Assistant Psychologist. His role is to assist the Chartered Psychologists in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic treatment programmes.

Matt Brooks

Matthew Brooks (BSc (Hons) Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology) is an Assistant Psychologist. His role is to assist the Chartered Psychologists in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic treatment programmes.

Hannah Ainslie

Hannah Ainslie (BA (Hons) Psychology and Criminology, Grad Dip Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology) is an Assistant Psychologist. Her role is to assist the Chartered Psychologists in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic programmes.

Richard Noble

Richard Noble BSc (Hons) Psychology, MSc Forensic Psychology is an Assistant Psychologist. His role is to assist the Chartered Psychologists in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic treatment programmes.

EMERGENCY PLACEMENT

The aim of our emergency placements is to offer instant, practical solutions to the young person in crisis. We stabilise the situation, reduce any risks and ensure the immediate safety of the young person.

HOUSES

Each young person, who resides at our Houses, will have their own bedroom. There is one shared bathroom on the first floor which consist of a bath, shower and toilet plus one master bedroom with large ensuite facilities and three other bedrooms two being staff sleep in rooms.

During the initial contact is essential to obtain as much information as possible about the young person’s current situation and their particular care needs.
